Melbourne View Wedding in the stunning Derbyshire countryside.

Bridal Preparations 

In January this year I exhibitted at the Melbourne View Wedding fayre.  Sophie and Ashley attended, they had already booked the venue for their August Wedding. They came over to the stand and we got chatting about what they were wanting from a wedding photographer.  They were keen to get booked it and chose the Platinum Package, which they secured on the day. 

In the morning, I popped over to Sophie’s parents where the wedding preparations were in full swing with Sophie and her bridesmaids. I got some great shots of them getting hair and make-up done.  Next stop was over the their house to see how Ashley was getting on.  Ashley and his groomsmen were sprucing themselves.  

The Venue

Next stop, Melbourne View, where Sophie was now getting into her wedding dress. The flower girls happily sat in the box window. A perfect opportunity for me to get some shots of them in Sophie’s wedding shoes,  A shot she had requested I capture.

It was time for the ceremony, Sophie, looking stunning in her beautiful wedding dress designed by Rebecca Ingram cropped by her beaming smile. 

Ashley and the guests waited for the arrival of Sophie, who entered the room arm in arm with her dad, who gave her away. 

After the ceremony we all headed outside to the gardens to do the official photos. The gardens boast fantastic views of Melbourne and it’s surrounding villages creating a magnificent backdrop. Whilst the guests enjoyed a drink I got to work on arranging the bridal party for the photos.  One of my favourite photos of the day was the whole wedding party stood in a heart with the bride and Groom in the middle, oh yeah and a stray flower girl!

The Evening

Food and speeches squared away, Sophie, Ashley and I took a photo walk in the grounds.  The Melbourne View is the perfect place for this. 

My favourite photo of the day has to be Sophie sat on the L of the Love lights. Her stunning dress sitting perfectly around her, the sheer happiness in her face. Big Thank you to all the team at Melbourne View Hotel for making my day go smooth.
